See the GitHub (github.com/SuperDude88/TWWHD-Randomizer) README for full instructions.
A randomizer for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - made possible thanks to huge contributions from gymnast86, csunday95, and the work of the original WWR team.
It shuffles all the items, makes the world open from the start, removes most cutscenes, and adds other tweaks to speed up mundane tasks. While most features from the original Wind Waker Randomizer are present, some are yet to be ported due to the remake's changes.
Requirements:
- ~2GB of free space on system storage or on a connected USB storage device
- An accessible copy of the NTSC-U (North American) version of TWWHD, disc or digital
- Free channels on the Wii U menu for both the randomizer app and the randomized game
- Signature patches to run the modified game code
Changelog
1.1.1
This is a super tiny patch to address the most noticeable bugs in 1.1.0.
[check the release's description for more]
1.1.0
New Features:
- Add option for hint importance
- With this setting enabled, hints for potential progress items will say whether the item is required, possibly required, or not required
- Add option to exclude individual locations
- Add option to mute swift sail sounds
- Add dark mode to the desktop app (color scheme matches the OS setting)
- Add requirement tooltips to the tracker
- Show item requirements when hovering over a location
- Show item requirements and entrance paths when hovering over entrances/exits
- Add additional notes for "indirect"/unclear requirements for some locations (e.x. mail checks which depend on bosses)
- Add a search bar to the entrance list in the tracker
- Add the ability to track chart mappings when their islands are shuffled
- Add a chart list to the tracker
- Add the ability to save/load different tracker profiles
- Add tracker option to show non-progress locations
Changes:
- Change some figurines so they can always be obtained
- Rework the legendary pictographs so that they appear after events you can actually trigger in the randomizer
- The King of Hyrule's legendary pictograph will unlock after obtaining the full triforce
- Ganondorf's legendary pictograph will unlock after defeating the Helmaroc King
- Jabun's legendary pictograph will unlock after breaking the stone wall on the back of Outset Island
- The Fairy Queen's legendary pictograph will unlock after obtaining the Ballad of Gales
- Fado's legendary pictograph will unlock after defeating Molgera
- Laruto's legendary pictograph will unlock after defeating Jalhalla
- The Great Fairy's legendary pictograph is unchanged and will unlock after meeting any of the 7 Great Fairies
- Add alternate ways to obtain some figurines so that you can't be permanently locked out of them
- Give the pirate crew and Zelda figurines when obtaining the King's figurine
- Give the Big Octo figurine when obtaining the normal Octorok figurine
- Give the Zephos/Cyclos figurine when obtaining Valoo's figurine
- Give the Helmaroc King figurine when obtaining Ganondorf's figurine
- Give the Red Wizzrobe figurine when obtaining the normal Wizzrobe figurine
- The Phantom Ganon, Puppet Ganon, and Mighty Darknut figurines are still missable; however, they all appear in Ganon's Tower and do not lock any item checks, so you will always be able to get the Picto Box before defeating them.
- Only replace the savewarp location of caves and other interior areas when entrance randomizer is enabled
- Remove some minor cutscenes in Wind Temple
- Remove minor camera pan cutscene in Windfall Cafe

- Rewrite a bunch of requirements in Forsaken Fortress to better reflect the actual dungeon layout and open things up a little more
- Defeating Wizzrobes at range with the hookshot is no longer considered in logic (it was often very annoying and is not in the SD randomizer's base logic anymore either)
- Consider the entrances on an island when generating barren hints
- Don't hint Ganon's Tower as barren
- Change calculation of chain locations and CTMC types
- Adjust how entrances are shown in the tracker
- Allow the clear all shortcut to be used on any tracker area, not just dungeons
- Move tracker settings into a popout window
- Anchor the seed string input to the bottom of the desktop app so it is easier to access
- Improve path entry in the desktop app
- Make some minor adjustments to custom color handling to make the desktop app more predictable
- Change some error handling to be more complete, descriptive, and/or useful
Fixes:
- Fix an occasional crash that could occur when writing a spoiler log
- Fix a patcher crash that could occur when starting with a lot of items
